Hi. My Name is Al MacDonald. I was born and raised in Mississauga Ontario, Canada. I’ve been self employed since 1990, when I opened my own successful trucking company. I decided to shut it down, after ten years, when I got married and had a family. Since then, my wife and I work together at home assisting a non-profit missing children’s charity. Although it can be stressful at times, it's also very rewarding when a child is found safe and returned home to his or her family.
I’ve been playing poker for about 30 years. When I first start playing; my nick name was “Easy Al.” That name didn’t sit very well with me and I set my mind to improving my game. And, that I did ! Instead of playing, I decided to sit back and watch some live high stakes poker and see how these people played. Over a short period of time, I realized what my faults were and became a better player. Needless to say, the nick name quickly went away.
I started playing online poker about 4 to 5 years ago. I’ve had my share of ups and downs as most online players do. But, I’ve always managed to keep a bank roll without ever having to make a redeposit at any of the sites that I play at. Since I’ve become a part of Royal Flush Club, my game has, yet again, became much better.
Some of my other favorite past times are:
Playing hockey! I’ve been a goaltender since I was 10 years old. I’ve played against several NHL players during my career. Unfortunately, my career was cut short due to a serious off ice accident. But I still love to play and watch when possible.
I also enjoy cooking. In my early years, I was a kitchen manager for a busy restaurant. I left the restaurant to pursue a better paying career in the trucking industry. I’m sure my wife loves that fact that “our” kitchen, is my kitchen!
I also love spending summers at our cottage bass fishing. I think I learned how to fish before I learned how to walk.
Although I love poker, hockey, cooking and fishing, I have to say that my all time favorite is my family and my time spent with them.
Warmest Regards,
Al MacDonald
